Aziola Cry was mentioned as part of the latest episode of “In the Prog Seat” on Sea of Tranquility. Thanks Luis!
Logo
Hajo Müller created the artwork for my next release (coming in February of 2022). As part of the cover art, he included a cool logo of sorts. We explored this idea further until it developed into what you see here. More on this as information about the next album becomes public.
“The Perfect Fallacy” CD
I originally wanted to try something new and release my latest album only in the digital format. Based on a number of requests for a physical copy of the music, I have decided to press a small number of CDs. Artwork was completed by Hajo Müller and should be arriving soon. New Website Design
I have decided to make some slight changes to the website design for a couple of reasons. One, It has been over a year since I launched the original look and so I felt like it was time for a change. The second reason is that with a new album coming out tomorrow and some exciting things coming around the corner, I felt like the new site did a better job of showcasing this events. Enjoy.
Sonic Wayfarer Podcast
The inaugural episode of a podcast that I am a part of premieres today. It is called “Sonic Wayfarer” and it is devoted to the artistry of ambient music. In this episode, we discuss inspiration.
The Perfect Fallacy
In February of this year, I recorded an album of music meant to be the follow up to “The Darkness Found in Shadows.” While thematically it is very different, the sound expanded on that album. It is called, “The Perfect Fallacy” and works as the soundtrack to a reoccurring dream. I reached out Hajo Müller (a collaboration that will extend to my next release coming in February), who created an amazing visual representation. In fact, before even discussing possibilities, Hajo had presented a geometric idea which played into the dream itself. It was almost as though he had read my mind. More details coming…
While this year has been different in every way, musically speaking, it has been very busy. It started with a new Aziola Cry album out on The Laser's Edge Group. Next, I got signed to Wayfarer Records and released “Fictional Mirrors,” an album that not only represents the direction that I plan to take with regard to my solo sound, but also is still in the process of its promotion (new video came out last week). So, why release this album now? Really, there didn’t seem to be a perfect time to put it out with 2022 shaping up to be just as busy. November marked the one year anniversary of its sister album and also this album for me represents a closing of this year.
I so present my reoccurring dream, “The Perfect Fallacy.” It will be available this Friday on all streaming services and on Bandcamp.

Introducing Backward Sky Falling
Introducing Backward Sky Falling, a progressive rock trio made up of Jason Blake (Aziola Cry) on Warr guitar, Joe Kopecky (Kopecky, Imperial Fall) on guitar, and Craig Walkner (Yeti Rain, Far Corner) on drums. After writing music on and off for years, Joe and Jason felt that they had developed the band’s sound and were ready to play with a drummer. With the addition of Craig earlier this year, the trio began tightening up their songs. Backward Sky Falling plans to enter the studio soon in order to release their music into the world.
